Globally the Yezidis number is barely one million after going through 74 genocides. At the moment, half a million are displaced and there are serious threats to their existence: malnutrition, contagious skin diseases, trauma, ISIS and so on.
Gulie was a teacher but left her full time position to lend some support. She is a part of a newly established organization, Yezidis International (YI). YI recently received 501c3 and exists to raise awareness and funds for the plight and culture of Yezidis.
Besides international protections, they believe the only way to help this distress community and give hope is through skill development and empowerment projects and digitizing culture and faith. They are working on a few projects: medical relief camp, education for those in camps, scholarships to those in college. Please consider helping Gulie and the Yezidis International organization here.
