Comedian Matt Kirshen Joins Us

Matt Kirshen has been a stand-up comedian since the tail end of 2001, has performed in over 20 countries, and has been seen on such television shows as Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Nerdist on BBC America and Last Comic Standing, where he was a Season 5 finalist.

With his British accent and his "maths" degree from Cambridge University, Matt Kirshen lends some much-needed gravitas to the proceedings. Matt is currently writing for the Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central and co-hosts the very funny and intelligent Probably Science podcast. The 2017 Milwaukee Comedy Fest w/ Debra Wilson and Jill-Michele Meleán

Debra Wilson and Jill-Michele Meleán join us for a preview of what to expect at the Milwaukee Comedy Fest on August 8th, 2017 as well as the release of "This is Meg" on ITunes the same weekend. Debra also talks about her extensive voice over and live action work in the video game industry. She has been feature in many of the top rated games. We also got a snippet of the very funny Oprah Winfrey and Brittany Spears impressions.

Carlos' Modern Life

 

Carlos Alazraqui is a stand-up comedian, actor, voice actor, singer, impressionist, producer and screenwriter possibly best known as Deputy James Garcia on Reno 911!. His extensive voice-over work includes the role of Bobbi Fabulous on Phineas and Ferb, the Taco Bell chihuahua in the Taco Bell commercials, Denzel Crocker and Juandissimo Magnifico on The Fairly OddParents, Rocko and Spunky on Rocko's Modern Life, Lazlo and Clam in Camp Lazlo, Grandpapi Rivera in El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, and as Mr. Weed in Family Guy.

He is a weekly contributor on "The Stephanie Miller Show" where he discusses politics and shows off his Donald Trump impression. 

Carlos joins us to discuss everything from his legendary voice acting to his take on the current political and religious climate. Carlos is an outspoken agnostic that does not shy away from taking on taboo topics in his comedy and through his various media platforms. We were extremely honored to have Carlos on the show. Mel Talk w/ Melissa Shoshahi

Melissa Shoshahi is an Iranian-American stand-up comedian and writer based in Los Angeles. Performing across the country and Canada, Melissa brings her witty personality to the stage and knows no limits when it comes to comedy - culture, politics, race and gender are all fair game. Melissa also offers insight and humor regarding her unique upbringing.

Melissa’s creativity and writing are showcased on Nickelodeon’s NickMom channel, her stand-up has been featured on the TV show Laughs on FOX, she is a NACA showcase artist performing at universities throughout the country, has her weekly podcast Mel Talk on iTunes and can currently be seen in the upcoming indie flick Lost in Austin. Festival credits include the San Francisco Comedy Competition, She Devil Comedy Festival in NY, Westside Comedy Competition and Desi Comedy Festival in San Francisco.

Where in the Hell is the Lavender House? w/ Major Entertainer Mike H

Mike Hickey aka Major Entertainer Mike H is a seasoned entertainer and professional opening act. We had the honor of meeting Mike on the Eric Andre Show tour. He was the opening act each night and definitely had appropriate material representing that position.

During this interview, Mike discusses his experience on his current tour with Neil Hamburger. Mike is also working on various other projects including the full length documentary “Where in the hell is the Lavender House? The Story of Longmont Potion Castle” that will focus on the popular anonymous prank caller Longmont Potion Castle..

Comedian Shawn Pelofsky: Bad Jew

Shawn Pelofsky discusses her life as a Jewish comedian and how her religion has come into play throughout her career. She also describes her experience opening for Bill Maher and the first time she met Bette Midler. We also discuss her unique role in the movie "This is Meg".  This is a very funny and informative interview. Don’t miss it!

Shawn Pelofsky was born in Oklahoma. Performing since the age of 8, it's only natural that Shawn decided to pursue a career in comedy. She attended the University of Southern California and received a B.A. from The School of Theater. During her time at USC, she joined an improvisational group "Comedius Interruptus" which became her motivating force to train at The Groundlings.

By the age of 20, Shawn Pelofsky was performing sketches and improv with Will Ferrell. With a couple years of improv under her belt, she became a member of The ACME Comedy Theater. During her time at ACME, Shawn flourished in the field of stand-up comedy culminating with her current status as a regular at The World Famous Comedy Store. When she's not touring or performing for our troops in places like Afghanistan, Bosnia, Bahrain and Guantanamo Bay, Shawn performs weekly on their infamous Main Room stage. Adding to her many comedic accolades, Shawn has been featured in The Montreal "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival and in the all female hit comedy tours Pretty Funny Women, Nice Jewish Girls Gone Bad, and The Hot Tamales produced by Eva Longoria. She has opened up for greats such as Richard Lewis, Robert Klein, Bill Maher and Margaret Cho.

Shawn has given the comedy competition circuit a run for its money as a finalist for The Funniest Woman in Orange County and in Comedy Central's "Laugh Riots". Her television and film credits include Community (NBC), Lip Service (Showtime), The Gossip Queens (LOGO), Chelsea Lately (E!), Pretty Hurts (LOGO), Comics Unleashed (ABC), The Tonight Show (NBC), Pauly Shore's Minding the Store (TBS), Last Comic Standing (NBC), Playboy Channel and Free Enterprise starring William Shatner.
